resources

Although counseling can help us in getting through stressful times, at A Peaceful Balance we also recognize that there are other types of help or organizations that might be more appropriate in certain situations. However, as the world itself has become more complicated, the ability to locate the right type of help has also become more complicated. In addition, we know that people generally look for help when either they or someone they love are in a medical, financial, or mental health crisis. At those times it can feel overwhelming to sit at a computer or phone and begin the tedious journey of trying to locate the right type of assistance. Therefore, on this page we have assembled a list of resources that could be helpful to you in times of crisis. The resources on this page are divided into three sections.

A place to start

We know that this list is not comprehensive but is intended to give you a starting place to search for other types of assistance. In addition, we have tried to include only professionally researched and vetted apps, websites, helplines and local resources and we try to keep this page updated. Please understand, however, that some links on this page may be out of date or no longer working.
